"I work best with clients who want to better understand themselves and their needs — especially when neurodivergence, disability, stress, burnout, or caregiving has left them feeling disconnected from who they are or what matters most.”

About Marla

Support for those who've been carrying it all — and need a more sustainable way forward.

Hi, I’m Marla, a Registered Psychotherapist. I support people navigating disability, neurodivergence, caregiving, relationship challenges, life transitions, and burnout.

When you’re managing competing responsibilities or systems that make life harder, it can be difficult to find space for yourself. I offer a place to explore your experiences, feel heard, and consider what support would be meaningful to you.

I came to psychotherapy in midlife, bringing over 15 years of experience in accessibility, accommodations, and disability advocacy, alongside 20 years in youth and young adult engagement. These experiences inform my work with individuals, parents, and caregivers. My own experiences with burnout, career dissatisfaction, and complex systems also shape the understanding I bring.

My Approach

Affirming, collaborative, and practical

I offer a 2SLGBTQIA+, disability, and neuro-affirming space, with compassion, creativity, and humour at the heart of my work.

I draw from different therapeutic approaches to suit your needs. We might explore practical strategies, relationships, loss, or questions of identity and purpose. Together, we’ll build on your strengths and explore options that fit your circumstances, values, and goals.
